Job Title: Industrial Engineer CORE Job Description

The Industrial Engineer CORE drives operational excellence by analyzing, improving, and standardizing processes across a manufacturing facility. This role supports the CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) framework through data-driven problem solving, waste reduction, capacity analysis, and the implementation of sustainable improvements that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance. The position works closely with the Operations Department and cross-functional teams to embed CORE methodologies into daily plant operations and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to eliminate waste, reduce process variation, and maximize operational efficiency across manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Support the implementation of CORE methodologies, tools, and standards throughout the facility to drive consistent, high-quality operational performance.
  • Partner with leadership to develop, launch, and sustain CORE initiatives that improve safety, quality, productivity, and operational reliability.
  • Conduct time studies, bottleneck analyses, and capacity modeling to provide data-driven insights that inform decision-making and project prioritization.
  • Develop and maintain standardized work instructions, visual management systems, and process documentation to support continuous improvement and operational consistency.
  • Lead and participate in structured problem-solving activities, including root cause analysis, continuous improvement events, and regular performance reviews.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify trends, track performance, and uncover opportunities for process and productivity improvements.
  • Support the design and implementation of new workflows, layouts, and process improvements aligned with CORE principles and operational goals.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and safety teams to ensure improvement projects are effectively integrated into daily plant operations.
  • Track project progress, prepare status updates for leadership, and support the development and maintenance of performance scorecards and dashboards.
  • Provide training, coaching, and guidance to operators and team members on CORE processes, tools, and expectations to build capability and engagement.
  • Help drive cultural adoption of CORE principles through clear communication, active engagement, and accountability across teams.
  • Work effectively with engineers, technicians, operators, and leadership at all levels to align improvement efforts with broader organizational objectives.
  • Organize detailed information into clear, concise insights that highlight the broader impact of process changes on the organization.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes and their impact on safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Ability to organize detailed information into a clear understanding of broader organizational impacts.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with engineers, technicians, operators, and leadership at all levels.
  • Proficiency with standard computer software and administrative tools.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Foundational skills in industrial engineering and continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts and their application in a production environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma.
  • Experience with data mining and data analysis using tools such as Excel, VBA, SQL, or similar analytical platforms.
  • Proficiency with drafting and workflow mapping software such as Microsoft Visio and AutoCAD.
  • Experience using project management software such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
  • Understanding of capital project planning and implementation, including evaluation and execution of improvement investments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, organizing, and executing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and production technologies in an industrial environment.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong computer proficiency across multiple software platforms and tools.

Work Environment

This position operates in an engineering office setting within a manufacturing facility, working Monday through Friday from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The role is closely connected to production operations, requiring regular collaboration with operations, maintenance, quality, and safety teams. You will use a range of software tools, including standard office applications, data analysis tools, drafting and workflow mapping software, and project management platforms. The environment emphasizes continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional teamwork, offering opportunities to grow and develop industrial engineering skills in a structured, professional setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springdale, AR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
