Rao Outpatient Pavilion Call Center Representative

Employment Type: Part-time Shift: Days Hours Per Week: 20-hour/week Hiring range: $ 17.00 - $22.74

Below are the shift differentials based on eligible shifts worked:

  • Weekday evening shift - additional 10%
  • Weekday night shift - additional 15%
  • Weekend day shift - additional 10%
  • Weekend evening & night shifts - additional 21%

The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities:

  • Directs all incoming and in-house calls through transfers, paging, conference calls, and overhead paging,
  • When notified of an emergency situation, able to initiate appropriate paging and contacting personnel properly in a timely manner
  • Serves as a front-line public relations representative and ensures smooth communication between all departments and those requiring communication services.
  • Handles emergent calls and alerts appropriate personnel or outside agencies to medical emergencies or possible facility emergencies.
  • Serve as a positive, professional representative of our hospital and community.

Education & Experience: High School Graduate/GED is required. A minimum of 6 months switchboard experience in a health care environment or experience with high volume calls in a customer-oriented environment is required. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to providing patient-first, high-quality service. Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
